War of the Damned by Martin Ferguson is the third part of the Relic Hunters series. It was published in 2018 by Little Bird Publishing house.

My Take:
Adam and the gang are back at it again! The new book has brought a new adventure for them. Tangling with time and history yet again, the team from the British Museum faces off forces of evil from the past…. and the present. As is the norm with Martin Ferguson’s Relic Hunter series, the third book of the series hits the ground running. From the very first page of the War of the Damned, the action reels you in.
Once I began reading the book, I really couldn’t really keep it down. It felt so good to step into the world of Adam, Matt, Abbey, Emma, and Dave. Their shared sense of camaraderie, friendship, and loyalty in the face of adversity always gets to me. What also works for me is that each and every member of the team a vital role in defeating the evil forces and setting things right. They stand for what they believe in and never back down. Not to mention Adam’s crush on Emma, it is so cute! I hope it actually turns into something in the next book.
As usual, Martin Ferguson is able to weave a web of time and trouble beautifully. The themes of love, war, greed, and friendship have been woven into the plot seamlessly. As the War of the Damned unfolds, all the plotlines seem to come together to form the bigger picture that takes the story towards its conclusion. The epistolary writing format also fits very well with the storytelling framework and plays a very big part in giving characters depth.
Can’t wait for the next part of the Relic Hunters Series.
